HyPlat (Pty) Ltd is a 100% owned subsidiary of HyPlat IP (Pty) Ltd, which is in turn owned by the University of Cape Town (UCT). HyPlat is the commercialization arm of HySA Catalysis, one of three centres of competence that together form Hydrogen South Africa (HySA) . HySA is a project originated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology of South Africa.

As a specialist fuel cell company, HyPlat offers its customers tailor-made MEA and catalyst products. HyPlat’s culture encourages building relationships to create trustworthy partnerships.

HyPlat’s vision is to be the pre-eminent global supplier of fuel cell components to the fuel cell industry by providing technological breakthroughs and innovative solutions. Our Facilities

HyPlat has two world-class facilities located in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Our head office, MEA production facility, and research and development centre is located in Cape Town and our catalyst production facility is located in Randburg, Johannesburg.
