HyPlat MEA Configuration and Costing Software allows the user to compile a configuration to be costed using a point-and-click approach. Configurations include CCM- and GDE-based gasketed MEAs, gasketed CCMs, and stand-alone CCMs and GDEs.
After a configuration has been chosen, the user is guided through five input menus, as follows:
1. Labour rate, Platinum reclaim percentage, and raw material pricing;
2. Process yield and labour content;
3. Design inputs such as Platinum loading and design active area;
4. Material scrap allowances;
5. Catalyst ink design.
Once all inputs have been entered, the direct material, direct labour, and total MEA cost is displayed. Charts are generated to provide a graphical illustration of the individual component contributions to direct material and direct labour costs.
